Human engineer seats - the engineers whose IDE activity Aidealy measures, through the Aidealy extension for Cursor.
AI agent (bot) seats - the bot Git identities that open PRs and commit code, measured as first-class contributors alongside your humans. Billed per bot Git identity, not per agent run - an agent you run a thousand times is still one seat.
Chat seats - the managers and leaders who ask Aidealy questions in plain English.
Admin seats - the people who connect your Git providers and manage the account. Your first two are free.
2. Whose past work do you load once, at the start?
That's the one-time backfill, priced per Git contributor - every human and every bot that commits code or opens PRs. It loads your history so day one isn't a blank slate.

The simple rule: does this Git identity create code changes? Anyone - or any bot - that commits code or opens pull requests in the repositories you connect is counted. Read-only users, and bots that never author code, are not. Job title and role don't matter - only whether they push changes to your code. (This is what sets your Git-contributor count for the backfill, and which bots need an AI-agent seat.)

Seats flex with your team, up and down. Each month's bill reflects that month's highest number of active seats, counted separately for each seat type, at your same per-seat rate. Deactivate seats and the next month's bill drops. Nothing to report - Aidealy counts your active seats for you. On an annual prepaid order, your seat count is a commitment for the term: seats you add mid-term are prorated and billed to the same end date, and reductions take effect at renewal.
